The 120 tonne offshore anchor handling vessel 'Team Salalah' was designed as a "kit build" vessel with the hull structure constructed by Censtraalstaal in Holland and the assembly done at Nico's shipbuilding arm of Adyard in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. STXM sees a potentially strong market for the "kit build" method of construction as it allows shipyards with limited facilities to compete by eliminating the need for expensive plate cutting and forming equipment. |
STX Canada Marine produced detailed design and lofting drawings with 3D CAD modeling software to ensure proper use of space and to prevent interferences between systems.
