It can accommodate up to 36 standard containers. The large cargo hold forward has a capacity of 2000 cubic metres. Propulsion is by two medium speed diesel engines, which supply power through a twin input, single output reduction gearbox to a single controllable pitch (CP) propeller. A bow thruster provides good mooring ability. A helicopter landing pad is located aft. The accommodation block is located amidships, which leaves the operator with good visibility forward, both when underway and when loading and unloading. The vessel is ice strengthened to Ice Class 1B. It is built to SOLAS and under Classification Society supervision. |
